Les Devins

The Devins farm is an independent business run by the Grünenfelder family, Sebastian and Sophie. Founded in 2006, this company has grown steadily from 3 hectares to around 80 hectares. The farm is spread over 4 distinct sites: - The main site, located in Hérémence, in the Val d'Hérens, extends over approximately 70 hectares of meadows and pastures. This space is home to sheep, goats, cattle and horses. - The Bramois site is mainly dedicated to arboriculture. There are pears, apples, quinces, Mirabelle plums, as well as some vegetables. During the winter, the farm's cows are housed in the Bramois stable. - The Loye site, located in Grône, requires a large workforce. Aromatic plants such as lemon balm and verbena are grown there, which are used in the farm's infusions. Flowers and small fruits such as currants and raspberries are also grown there. - Recently, a farm in Mayens-de-Sion was acquired. This site allows the farm to keep its animals warm during the winter, such as sheep, goats and horses. During the summer, small livestock such as rabbits and fattening chickens are also raised there. Throughout the year, pigs are raised in box-terraces and, when the climate allows it, they graze in the surrounding parks.
