Biolandbau Guggenbüel Hofladen

We, Sabrina Otto and Bruno Zähner, manage the Guggenbüel organic farm in Illnau ZH. The Guggenbüel organic farm has been run according to Bio Suisse guidelines for 30 years and has now been certified according to the Demeter principles and guidelines of the Demeter Association for four years. We manage around 36 hectares of land with our dairy sheep, meat sheep, horses, wool pigs and goats. In the summer (around four months) a large part of our herd is on the alpine pasture we manage in the Taminatal. In the remaining months our animals can be found around our farm. In the winter months we lead a migratory herd through the Zurich Oberland with the sheep that are not milked. We live and love the tradition of shepherding. Our goal in the future is to market all of our products in such a way that we know where they are consumed, just as we know that they were produced with dignity.
