Dried Horn of Plenty Mushrooms (10g)

  • About this product

Discover our premium Horn of Plenty mushrooms, carefully hand-picked in Swiss beech forests. WHAT THE HORN OF PLENTY LOOKS LIKE The Horn of Plenty (Craterellus cornucopioides) is recognizable by its funnel-shaped cap, giving it a unique and elegant silhouette. Its color ranges from black to grey with light beige tones, and its surface is often velvety. Legend has it that this mushroom got its name because it typically appears around All Saints' Day, also known as the feast of the dead. HOW TO COOK THE HORN OF PLENTY Soak the mushrooms in hot water for 15 minutes before cooking. The strained soaking water can be used to make a sauce or an ash-grey risotto. You can use Horn of Plenty mushrooms in many recipes. Here are a few ideas to showcase them: Horn of Plenty risotto: Sauté the mushrooms in butter with garlic and herbs, then fold them into a creamy risotto. Horn of Plenty pasta: Mix sautéed mushrooms with al dente pasta, olive oil, garlic and parmesan for a simple, delicious dish. Editor's review of Mycelius Sàrl

Mycelius, treasures of the Swiss forests: dried gourmet mushrooms and artisanal herbal teas, hand-picked in the Broye region.

Mycelius brings to your plate a richness rarely found in shops: gourmet mushrooms from Swiss forests. Morels, porcini, black trumpets and chanterelles are hand-picked, then carefully dried in Belmont-Broye, in the canton of Fribourg. What we love: the freshness and traceability of 100% Swiss products, perfect for elevating a risotto or a pasta dish. We also fell for their artisanal herbal teas, from linden to elderflower, and their nutrient-rich nettle seeds. Authentic products for anyone who loves nature and good food.
