Ferme de Belflori

The Belflori farm, operated by the Richardet family since 1986, has undergone remarkable development over the years. The dairy cows of the first years have been replaced by laying hens reared in the open air, benefiting from a winter garden and a vast grassy and shaded park. The Belflori farm is recognized IP-Switzerland, thus guaranteeing respect for animals, plants and biodiversity, in a sustainable agriculture approach. Since March 2019, the Belflori farm has undertaken to develop market gardening on a plot of the estate. Alongside the crops of rapeseed, maize, wheat, rye, barley and quinoa, a multitude of vegetables now grow on the beautiful land of Belflori and Chalabruz, in the plot known as the "golden necklace". There are a variety of vegetables such as salads, carrots, onions, garlic, various types of cabbage, aromatic herbs, dwarf and pole beans, peas and many more. Under a large greenhouse, different varieties of tomatoes redden happily alongside peppers, eggplants and cucumbers. Finally, various varieties of berries, such as blueberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberries and red currants, grow in harmony with the hens frolicking in the open air. The Belflori farm also offers a range of artisanal products, such as quinoa, various jams, honey and polenta.
