Renewal and end of subscription

Updated October 9th, 2026

Your Mimelis Ads subscriptions renew automatically: your ads stay in place with nothing for you to do. You can turn off renewal at any time before the due date, and turn it back on as long as that date has not passed. Everything is managed from My account.

Automatic renewal

Your placements of your choice renew every month. An advanced coverage renews for its duration, or for the new duration you have scheduled.

In My account, each subscription shows two columns. Due date gives the last day of the paid period. Renewal shows "Auto" or "Off".

Each subscription is managed separately. You can stop a coverage and keep your other coverages and your placements of your choice.

Changes applied at renewal

The changes you have scheduled take effect at the due date: removing placements or blocks, switching back to Standard visibility, a new coverage duration. Until then, your placements stay visible as they are.

These scheduled changes appear under the subscription concerned, with their effective date. You can cancel them until the due date.

For an advanced coverage, the renewal price is recalculated on the coverage of the day. It includes the new placements that have joined your coverage, included at no extra cost until then.

Turning off renewal

  1. In My account, open the subscription's ⋮ menu.
  2. Click Turn off automatic renewal.
  3. Read the end date shown, then click Turn off.

Your subscription stays active until its due date, then stops. Your ads stay visible until that date, which is already paid for. The Due date column shows "subscription ends".

Note: for an advanced coverage, turning off renewal cancels the scheduled changes (removals, switch back to Standard visibility, new duration), since there will be no renewal. You can still extend your coverage until the due date.

Subscription under verification

A subscription still under verification starts after verification, even if you turn off its renewal. It stays active until the end of its first paid period, then stops. The confirmation window shows this date.

Turning renewal back on

Until the due date, click Turn back on in the Renewal column, or choose Turn automatic renewal back on in the ⋮ menu. The subscription continues as before, with no new order.

For placements of your choice, a banner at the top of your account reminds you how long they stay visible, with a Turn renewal back on button.

End of subscription

At the due date of a subscription whose renewal is turned off, its ads leave their placements. Your brands, their information and your billing history remain in your Mimelis Ads account.

When your placements of your choice have ended, the banner "Your ad is no longer showing" appears at the top of your account. Click Continue my ad: the order form opens, with your brand and billing information already filled in.

An advanced coverage that has ended leaves the list of current coverages. To start a new one, click New advanced coverage on the Your entities and brands page.

Closing your account

Closing your account permanently deletes your brands. It becomes possible once all your subscriptions have reached their due date and all your invoices are paid.

  1. Turn off the renewal of each of your subscriptions.
  2. Wait for their due date and pay any pending invoices.
  3. Download your invoices from the Billing history block.
  4. At the bottom of My account, open the Close my account section, then click Close my account.

As long as a subscription is running, the button is greyed out. The section then lists the subscriptions concerned and the date from which closing will be possible. You then confirm your request by email.

Note: if you also sell on Mimelis, you close your account from your seller space, in the account settings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop before the due date and get a refund?

No. A subscription always stops at the end of the paid period. Your ads stay visible until the due date.

Does turning off a coverage's renewal stop my placements of your choice?

No. Each subscription has its own renewal. Turn it off for each one you want to stop.

I turned off renewal by mistake. What should I do?

Click Turn back on in the Renewal column, before the due date. Your subscription continues as before.

Does an unpaid invoice stop my advertising?

For an advanced coverage, yes: it is suspended until payment. For placements of your choice, your ads stay visible for a while, then your advertising may be suspended if the situation is not settled. What to do is explained in Payment declined.
