Payment methods and invoices
Updated October 9th, 2026
You pay for your ads by card, TWINT or invoice, for placements of your choice as well as for advanced coverage. Everything is managed from My account, in your Mimelis Ads account.
Accepted payment methods
You pay by card, with TWINT or by invoice.
- Card: automatic charge at each due date.
- TWINT: automatic charge, like the card. At checkout, both are grouped under Card or TWINT.
- By invoice: you receive an invoice by email, to be paid before its due date.
The methods offered depend on the amount to pay: the monthly amount for placements of your choice, the total for the duration for an advanced coverage. Payment by invoice is offered from CHF 1'000. The order form shows the methods that apply to your order.
One payment method for all your subscriptions
Your account uses a card or TWINT for all your subscriptions paid online. If you change it, in My account or when placing a new order, the new payment method applies to all these subscriptions.
You can also choose payment by invoice for a subscription, depending on its amount.
Changing your payment method
- Open My account in your Mimelis Ads account.
- In the Payment method block, click Edit.
- Enter your new card or choose TWINT, then confirm.
With TWINT, you go through the TWINT app, then come back to My account. The message "Payment method updated." confirms the change. If you stop halfway, your current payment method stays in place.
To switch a coverage from card to invoice, or the other way round, use Edit coverage.
Payment by invoice
For placements of your choice, you receive an invoice every month; for an advanced coverage, one invoice for the whole duration. Pay it by bank transfer or online, from the invoice. Your ads appear as soon as the first invoice is paid.
Note: an invoice is payable within 20 days. After that, a reminder is sent to you, with a fee of CHF 50 per reminder. Your pending invoices appear at the top of your Mimelis Ads account.
When you are charged
- First order: our team first verifies your account and your brand. The first payment is made at the end of this verification.
- Account already approved: payment is made when you order, even for a new brand still under verification. Its ads appear once the brand is approved.
- Addition during the subscription: a new placement, a new block or a switch to Enhanced visibility is billed immediately, pro rata for the time remaining until the due date.
- Renewal: each subscription is billed at its due date, for the following period.
A removal or a lower visibility takes effect at renewal: until then, you keep what you have paid for.
Viewing your invoices
The Billing history block lists your past invoices. Click an invoice's date to download its PDF. A paid invoice shows its amount, its payment date and the method used.
The upcoming invoices block shows the next due date of each subscription. Details shows the period and the price of each placement.
The amount of an upcoming invoice follows the changes you make to your placements. For an advanced coverage, it also includes new placements that have appeared in your area.
Editing your billing information
The Billing block shows your name and address. For a business account, it also shows the entity's legal name, the business identification number and the VAT number. Click Edit to correct them: the changes apply to your next invoices.
Note: changing the legal name, the business identification number or the VAT number triggers a new verification of your account. Your ads are hidden until this verification is complete.
Payment declined
If your payment is declined when you order or change a coverage, nothing is charged. A message tells you so: try again, with another card if needed.
If a charge fails later, your pending invoices appear at the top of your Mimelis Ads account, each with a Pay invoice link. Update your payment method, then pay each invoice from that link.
What happens next depends on the offer.
- Placements of your choice: your ads stay visible. A "Payment past due" banner asks you to settle before your advertising is suspended.
- Advanced coverage: the coverage switches to "Suspended: unpaid invoice". It resumes as soon as the invoice is paid, and you can then change it again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for my placements of your choice by card and for a coverage by invoice?
Yes. Each subscription has its own payment method. Your subscriptions paid online share the account's payment method. Those paid by invoice each receive their own invoices.
Why isn't TWINT offered to me?
TWINT is accepted up to CHF 5'000 per payment. Above that, pay by card or by invoice.
Why isn't payment by invoice offered to me?
Payment by invoice is offered from CHF 1'000. For an advanced coverage, a longer duration or a larger area can reach this amount.
