How advanced coverage works

With advanced coverage, your brand appears on every placement in a region, across Switzerland or in an entire sector, without choosing them one by one. New cities and categories that appear in your area join it automatically. Prices are on the presentation page, and the configurator calculates the price of your coverage live.
Building a coverage
A coverage is made of blocks that you combine freely: radii, cantons and sectors.
- Radius: choose a city as the center, then a radius. Every city within the radius is part of the coverage. You can limit the radius to certain cantons.
- Cantons: one or more cantons, up to the whole of Switzerland. Quick selections suggest French-speaking Switzerland, for example. The coverage includes the cantons' placements. Tick Also include every town in these cantons to add the placements of all their cities.
- Sector: one or more product categories, each with all its subcategories, across Switzerland.
For example: 20 km around Lausanne, plus the wine sector.
The configurator's map shows your area as you build it.
Choosing visibility
A single visibility format applies to the whole coverage: standard or enhanced. Both formats are described in Standard visibility and Enhanced visibility.
Duration and advance payment
Choose the duration of your coverage in the configurator, under Campaign duration. The longer it is, the lower the monthly price: the discount is shown next to each duration.
You pay each period in advance, with a single invoice for the whole chosen duration. The duration starts from the first payment. Each coverage is a separate subscription, with its own duration and due date.
At the due date, the coverage renews for the same duration. You can turn off renewal at any time before the due date: see Renewal and end of subscription.
How the price is calculated
The price depends on the content of your coverage (radii, cantons, sectors), the visibility and the duration. Each placement is paid for only once, even if several blocks include it. The price of each city in your area depends on its size and popularity.
A coverage starts from CHF 150 per month, before the duration discount. For a small area, placements of your choice are a better fit.
From CHF 1'000 billed over the duration, the configurator also offers to request a quote. From CHF 10'000, the order goes through a quote.
New placements included automatically
Your coverage keeps pace with Mimelis. When a new city or a new category appears in your area or your sector, its placement joins your coverage, with nothing for you to do.
These new placements are included at no extra cost until renewal. In your Mimelis Ads account, they carry the label "added automatically".
At renewal, the price is recalculated on the coverage of the day, new placements included.
Starting a coverage
Don't have a Mimelis Ads account yet? Open the configurator directly: you create your account when you order.
Already have a Mimelis Ads account?
- On the Your entities and brands page, click New advanced coverage.
- Under For which brand?, choose one of your brands or New brand. A brand that already has a coverage is greyed out.
- Build your coverage, then choose the visibility and the duration.
- Click Continue with this coverage.
- Check your brand's presentation, your details and your payment method, then click Start my campaign.
Note: your coverage starts after the verification of your account and your brand. For a first order, nothing is charged before then.
Changing your coverage
Your brand's Placements page shows the map of your coverage, its placements and those added automatically.
To change it, open your brand's page, Placements, then Edit my coverage. A new block or a switch to Enhanced visibility takes effect immediately and is billed pro rata until the due date.
Note: removing a block, switching back to Standard visibility or changing the duration applies at renewal. Your placements stay visible until the due date already paid for.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have two coverages for the same brand?
No, only one at a time. To extend it, open the brand's page, Placements, then Edit my coverage.
Why is the button to continue disabled?
Your coverage does not reach the minimum of CHF 150 per month. The configurator shows the amount missing. Enlarge the area, add a sector, or choose placements of your choice instead.
