Rosa arvensis, the field rose, is a creeping to climbing white wild rose with lax shoots up to 200 cm long. Where trees or shrubs grow nearby, it uses them as support and scrambles up to a good height. This easy-going wild rose can also be trained in the garden as a climbing rose along walls and fences or on trellises, where it finds the support it needs. It flowers from early May to June and bears small, round hips.
