    Rosa stylosa, the short-styled field rose, is an upright, sometimes climbing shrub growing taller than a person, up to 300 cm high. A wild rose with deep green leaves and prickly shoots. The flowers are white to pale pink, 4 cm across, and open from June to July depending on altitude. The hips are glossy red and elongated, egg-shaped. Rosa stylosa works as a specimen plant, in group plantings or as a wild fruit shrub; it is mainly grown in gardens, as a hedge or as an ornamental shrub.
