Rosa rubiginosa – the sweet-briar, also known as the eglantine rose, is an upright shrub that grows taller than a person and can reach a height of up to 300 cm. A wild rose with green leaves that smell of fresh apples and shoots densely covered in prickles. The attractive flower is pink with a white centre and measures 4 cm across. Depending on altitude, it blooms from June to July. The hips are a deep red and round.
