Fir Absinthe — 60% vol.
It smells like pine and Maman Brigitte, Iowa of voodoo death, is here to remind us!
Fir buds bring character and spring freshness to this green absinthe macerated with La Clairvoyante.
Distillerie Stillerie recommends Maman Brigitte to lovers of green absinthe and fir buds.
Tasting recommendations: one part Maman Brigitte mixed with three to four parts iced water, or, as a digestif, just one part water.
Label made by Zdenka
The story begins at the source... A fountain, three friends and a common passion: absinthe!
It was during our weekly meetings at the fountain on Place des Grottes in Geneva, to enjoy the end-of-day market and the euphoria it brings, that we took pleasure in tasting one or another absinthe found here and there, unknowingly leading our palates on an adventure that we would never have imagined.
With past experiences, our curiosity then pushes us to try creating our own absinthe. Over the course of trials and, I must say, a few failures, our recipe begins to take shape and the little absinthe fairy gives us her approval. With the help of the information gleaned, we refine this recipe and create a second one with a different aromatic profile.
Success, admittedly relative, and as time went by, we got caught up in the game and our custom production in the distillery of a former clandestine in Val-de-Travers no longer suited us. We finally decided to ask for permission to acquire a still in order to distil ourselves. We then received our two stills and chose to set up our distillery in Fleurier, in the historic cradle of absinthe.
