Sharing links to your point of sale

Updated October 30th, 2026

When you mention your point of sale on Instagram, on your website or on a flyer, share it with your Mimelis links rather than its direct address. The visits they bring you are not counted in your visibility for the month, and you see where your visitors come from. This article explains how to create, share and follow your links.

The visits Mimelis brings you are counted in your visibility for the month. The ones you bring yourself are not, as long as Mimelis can tell them apart. That is what your links are for: a buyer who arrives through one of them is recognised as coming from you.

Your links are on the Visibility page, in the Visits from your links block. For each one, you see how many visits it has brought this month and their trend.

Every point of sale has a General link, whatever your plan. If you do not create other links, it is the one you use everywhere: Instagram bio, website, email signature.

To use it, click Copy and choose the language: the link will open your point of sale in that language, whatever the visitor's language. Handy for a message aimed at German-speaking customers, for example.

The QR code and the poster

Every link also exists as a QR code. A customer who scans it reaches your point of sale through that link: their visit is recognised as coming from you. It is what connects your stall, your shop or your packaging to your online point of sale.

Click QR code next to a link and choose the language the page will open in. Two formats are offered:

  • Download the image (PNG): the QR code on its own, to place in your own materials, flyer, business card, label;
  • Download the poster (PDF): a print-ready A5 poster with the QR code and the name of your point of sale, for your stall or shop window.

The language is written into the QR code when you download it. For customers in another language, download a second QR code.

From the Pro plan, you can create your own links, one per place where you share: one for Instagram, one for your website, one for your flyers. You then see how many visits each one brings you. How many links you can create depends on your plan; you will find it in the plan comparison.

  1. On the Visibility page, click Add a link.
  2. Choose where you will share it: Instagram, website, flyer, newsletter, and others.
  3. Fill in the Link name if you wish, for example a campaign name. Your customers do not see it.
  4. Choose its Colour, which helps you spot it in the list, and the Page language.
  5. Click Create link.

The link's address ends with an automatically assigned code. You can replace it with a word of your choice, see below.

When you create or edit a link, from the Pro plan, two settings go further:

  • The link leads to: send the visitor to a specific product rather than your point of sale, for example for an ad about that product.
  • Custom link: replace the automatic code with a word that speaks to your customers, for example /christmas. From 3 to 20 characters, letters, digits and hyphens.

The Visits from your links block tells you whether your sharing is paying off: the month's total, the comparison with the previous month, and one line per link with its trend.

To go further, click a link's name: you see its visits over the period of your choice, its best day and its daily average since it was created. How far back the history goes depends on your plan.

You can edit a link without breaking anything you have already put out. Open a link's Actions menu, then Edit.

  • If you change the end of the address, the old one keeps working: links you have already shared and printed QR codes still lead to the right place.
  • If you change the destination, for example to another product, the change also applies to QR codes already printed: no need to reprint them.

To delete a link, open the same menu, then Delete. Deleting is permanent, but safe for your materials: someone who scans a flyer carrying that link still reaches your point of sale, through your general link, and their visit is still recognised as yours.

If you change plan

If you move to a plan that allows fewer links, nothing breaks: the extra links are marked Not in plan, they keep working and their visits are attributed to your general link. You can no longer edit them, only delete them. They become active again if you move back up to a higher plan.

Frequently asked questions

No. They do not use up your visibility for the month, which stays reserved for the buyers Mimelis brings you. See Understanding your visibility on Mimelis.

Can I use my point of sale's direct address?

It works, but the visits it brings are not recognised as yours: they are counted in your visibility for the month. Use your general link instead.

They keep working. A new address ending keeps the old one active, and a change of destination also applies to QR codes already printed.

Yes, the general link, with its QR code and poster. Its visits are not counted in your visibility for the month. Additional links are available from the Pro plan.
