The Widmer family, originally from Heimiswil, settled in Tranchepied, a hamlet in La Rippe, in 1927. In 1994, Jean-Pierre took over the estate. Passionate about the land, the terroir and the cultivation of potatoes, he is committed to finding sustainable solutions that respect nature. In 2003, he began to develop self-service. In 2007, his son Michaël, representing the 4th generation, joined him to provide his support. In 2017, the self-service is expanding and offering fresh, seasonal products, coming exclusively from the estate and the region. Since 2009, the operation has been labeled IP Suisse.
