Abbaye de Bonmont

We tend to forget it, but the Pays de Vaud is a land where in the Middle Ages, the abbeys governed as masters, until the arrival of the Bernese in 1536... In order to pay homage to the monks of these abbeys, a production with Trappist accents was bottled for your greatest pleasure… A few centuries ago, in the Cistercian Abbey of Bonmont, Gregorian chants resounded at all hours of the day. Now silence and brews reign there. This abbey was built and attached to the Cistercian order in the 12th century. It is nestled in the foothills of the Jura below the Dôle and occupies an enchanting site where nature achieves a happy harmony between earth, sky and water from there. It is from this state of mind and these ingredients that the beers of the Abbaye de Bonmont and the abbey products are produced.
